Confessions of an Autoresponder Junkie
Confessions of an Autoresponder Junkie
by Bill Edwards
I have been using autoresponders ever since I can remember. Well actually ever since I started doing internet marketing.
I believe in autoresponders so much that I sell them. I have always had a autoresponder on my server.
I have a very good autoresponder script that I use. It has plenty of good features and it does not ask
for money every month. I also have about 8 or 10 free autoresponder accounts that I use for various and sundry reasons. But I never really liked the free autoresponders.
BUT! things have changed.
What has caused the change? Spaaaam. The can spam act.
Every time I used my autoresponder I was afraid. I was afraid someone on my "opt-in" list would make a complaint and I
would lose my ISP. For me that would spell the end. I am in a rural area of the country and do not have even
a land line for my phone. My internet connection is via satellite, and there is only one company for that service.
Well there is one other but... they want two pints of blood, your firstborn, and half of your bank account.
I began re-thinking the autoresponder equation. If I have an autoresponder account and get a complaint
at most all I lose is the account. I began my search for someone that could offer me all the features that I
already had with my own script at a reasonable price. I finally found a autoresponder that could fill the bill.
Not only did they have all of the features I wanted, they had a whole lot more, and most importantly they
will handle all spam complaints for you in a reasonable manner.
Believe me it is worth the small monthly payment to have peace of mind. They also have a free autoresponder
that anyone can try. Just go to http://www.articles-article.be/jammer/Autoresponders.html
and see for yourself.

The point is; a successful online product launch would never take place if it wasn’t for a list owner helping to promote the product. As it turns out, the list is actually far more important than the product. And the people who have such lists are well aware of their importance.
